The Sapao-an is celebrated in the town of Cardona every sixth of October. It is part of the feast of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Cardona, La Virgen de Sapao. It also serves as a thanksgiving to the Almighty for the blessings received through the guidance of the Beloved Patron.
During Christmas in Cardona, residents showcase their craftsmanship and culture through the Bamboo Arch Festival, also known as “Kaluskos Kawayan.” This is a traditional celebration where bamboo arches are illuminated on the first day of December, highlighting both the skill and the cultural heritage of Cardona.
The Regatta, a thrilling race featuring both motorized and paddle boats, takes place every October 5th in celebration of the Feast of St. Francis. This exciting event showcases the skill and endurance of local boatmen, drawing spectators and participants from all over.
